This gear drive starts off with a billet alum. cover that is machined from 7075-T6 to exact tolerances giving the motor it's best chance for accurate cam timing with the added benefit of an O-ring on the front cover so no more messy silicone or gaskets needed.
Gears are made from heat treated steel and are finish ground for complete concentricity. The gear set includes a dual keyway or splined crank gear, an idler gear that has the outer race ground into it using a high speed roller needle bearing and a cam gear that uses a eleven hole vernier to dial in cam timing.
The gear drive includes a mounting hardware kit, thrust bearing and washers, and woodruff keys for a keyed crank application. The cam hub uses a massive .625" female hex shaft to drive the fuel or oil pump.
This gear drive is set up to be used on a raised cam KB, BAE, CN or INDY engine block. RBS can help supply the customer with the proper cam cover or pump extension.
