Know we now a few of you out there are going to say wait, display I can run that offset, so the drive does function but we are going to list the reasons we are selling it as a display and if you are still not convinced buy it and make all your blown motor dreams come true.
1. This drive is know as a Greer brand drive. It uses a Greek type coupler to couple the generator to the offset. We don't have any of these generator drivers, not sure where you might find one and we have no way to get a hold of Greer or know if they are still business.
2. This offset uses a 3/8" pitch belt which is pretty weak when it comes to a drive belt. This might be ok for the smaller amp mags that take less power to spin but for sure not a good idea for a mag 44.
3. Bronze gear shows heavy wear so it should be replaced.
4. Top housing cover was machined to fit under the rear of a blower. There looks like there is even a relief for one of the bolts on the rear bearing plate.
5. We don't believe Greer to be in business any longer so if you need parts for this drive you are on your own. Now if you already own a drive like this one, this would make a great parts drive for that just in case moment.
