This gear drive starts off with a billet alum. cover that is machined from 7075-T6 to exact tolerances giving the motor it's best chance for accurate cam timing as well as the cover is O-ringed for a leak free seal without using a gasket.
Gears are made from heat treated steel and are finish ground for complete concentricity. The gear set includes a single keyway crank gear set up for an SBC or BBC crank snout, idler gear that has the outer race ground into it using a high speed roller needle bearing and a cam gear that uses a nine hole vernier to dial in cam timing.
The gear drive includes a mounting hardware kit, thrust bearing and washers, as well as woodruff keys and a seal housing and seal that are designed to be used with a SBC or BBC crank hub or dampner.
The cam hub uses a massive .625" hex shaft to drive the fuel or oil pump. This gear drive is set up to be used on a standard cam cast iron SBC, Donovan, Rodeck, Dart or most other aftermarket blocks.
