*** IN STOCK SHIPS TODAY *** Moroso has taken the guess work out of installing a Melling's internal wet sump cast iron hi-volume oil pump on a BBC with a eight inch deep wet sump oil pan.
Designed for approximately twenty five percent more oil volume each pump is pressure tested including idle and bypass oil pressures before being sent to the racer. Simple clean bolt on installation, these Moroso oil pump and pickup kits include the oil pickup factory welded to the oil pump with a gusset and bolt on brace pre-set for an eight inch deep wet sump oil pan giving the racer .250" clearance for adequate oil flow into the pick-up and not having to spend your afternoon mocking up and measuring to get the proper pick- up depth.
There has been a windage shield added around the pick-up to protect oil pump pickup from windage for steady oil pressure throughout RPM range.
Oil pump has a 3.00" x 1.50" perforated pick-up to trap debris without restricting oil flow and includes detailed installation instructions.
Oil pump is used with Moroso part #21047, #21048 and #21049 Chevrolet Big Block oil pans.
