For the racer that is looking to shave any weight off their hot rod RBS has this new scalloped burst panel diverter that has been profiled around the bolt holes shaving off almost a couple grams.
This handy device is a must for door cars with hoods or a funny car where body damage is to be prevented in the case of a burst panel popping and destroying the nose of your car. Diverter can also be used on a dragster and turned up in the rear to prevent puke tank damage.
It is made of billet aluminum and fits the industry standard twenty four bolt configuration of most blower manifolds. There is also a flat machined in the center of the part that can be drilled if you use a depth mic to see if your burst panel is bulging and ready to pop.
The alum. version weights 3/4 of a pound and if you need a stud and nut kit check out part number #2000-0005 if you are going to use the diverter as your burst panel frame and #2000-0006 if you are going to run a frame behind the diverter.
Racer can now choose black anodized or machined aluminum finish from drop down menu.
