Oil pump body is machined from billet alum. and anodized for corrosion protection and wear resistance. Pump mounts to the main cap with a provided 7/16" heat-treated ARP steel stud, nut and washer. Pick-up bolts to the bottom of the oil pump and measures 3.250" x 1.50". Pump assm. includes a heat-treated intermediate drive shaft that will allow the racer to use a stock type flat-tang drive on the distributor and 5/16" hex on the oil pump drive end.
Oil pump uses a 1.100" Gerotor gear assm. for more volume with maintaining oil pressure during the run. External adjustment allows fine-tuning of oil pump bypass pressure and oil pump gear is supported by a thrust bearing assembly that will increase oil pump housing and Gerotor gear life due to drive shaft axial forces on the drive gear not being subjected to side-load.
Engineered to fit 8.00" deep fabricated aluminum oil pan, and oil pump will clear 5.25" stroke with most aluminum connecting rods. Oil pump is considered standard pressure, hi-volume.
