These Moroso oil pans have a double power kick-out design for the racer to make maximum horsepower while a full length solid mounted louvered windage tray with main cap partitions help with oil control. Oil pan utilizes a race pan rail bolt pattern with six ORB plugs that allow a racer to install the oil pan nut up inside the oil pan then simply re-install the ORB plug once nut is installed inside oil pan, these Moroso oil pans are perfect for competition use where the racers application needs a extra oil capacity oil pan with front crossmember provision on their hot rod.
Here are some features of the oil pan. Includes 1/2-20 magnetic drain plug with 1/4" NPT dipstick provision, will clear up to 4.750" stroke w/aluminum rods, wide main cap clearance, billet end seals ensure consistent sealing surface to billet front covers and rear main caps, full length louvered windage tray to keep oil off the spinning crankshaft, uses standard Gen 5/6 one piece rear main seal.Pan from block surface to rear sump is 8.00", from block surface to bottom of front sump is 5.00". Rear sump box is 9.875" long, 12.312" wide and from crankshaft centerline to driver side rear sump is 5.625" wide, crankshaft centerline to passenger side rear sump is 6.750". Windage tray is removable to make cleaning the oil pan an easy task and to be sure to get any contaminants removed. Oil pan is set up to run a 168 tooth starter/flywheel combination.
Oil pan weights fourteen pounds as seen in the pictures. Oil pan fits Gen 5/6 BBC engine blocks but will not work with Gen 4 BBC engine blocks.
