TBS XR-71 Race Blower 14-71 High Helix

*** BLOWERS ARE ORDERED AT TIME OF PURCHASE AND CURRENTLY THERE IS A TEN TO TWELVE WEEK WAIT PERIOD ***
TBS XR-1 14-71 alum. competition hi-helix blower. The XR-71 design brings added elements of performance and safety to the racing world. On all the Blower Shop XR-71 style units, the front bearing housings have three inches of billet material that are press fit into the rotor case and push the rotors back in the case allowing the air to come and load the front of the rotors providing a smoother transition of airflow and providing more boost and cooler air as the air does not get so beat up entering the blower.

This bearing plate design increases the strength considerably over the common dowel pinned bearing housings normal to most supercharger designs. The rear cover is also captured in the same way. This design also benefits repeatability of rotor location. As these units are overhauled, the doweled design tends to wobble out the bores and the rotors find themselves misaligned over time, which can cause supercharger malfunction.

This blower has all Teflon stripping to insure maximum efficiency on your engine. The rotors are billet 120 degree and hard anodized for a long lasting supercharger and a tighter inside tolerance creating a more efficient supercharger. The blower uses double lipped Teflon seals to provide superior seal and uses billet rear bearing plate, front bearing plate and billet front gear cover for maximum strength and gives a superior finish. A Bird or Big Ugly injector can bolt to the top of the blower as will most all carbon fiber roots injectors. Top opening comes standard at 10.50" but can be ordered with larger or smaller depending on customers application.

This blower case is made from forged alum. to give maximum case strength and the best machined finish on the market. Top of the blower case is drilled for cooling nozzles in the rear and beauty of the set back rotors in the blower case is that most times a set back plate is not needed to mount the blower on most industry standard blower manifolds. Bottom opening is pie-shaped so once the air is pushed into the manifold it doesn't try to find it's way back up inside the supercharger case.

Included is a pressure relief valve, oil sight glass and one NPT plug so the racer can drain the oil. Blower as seen in the pictures weights 110 pounds.
