Simply install in place of the valve spring and unscrew the micrometer until the slop is taken from the valve seat, valve keepers and retainers take your reading off the tool and you are done. Check your spring installed height setting, add a shim if needed, install and move on to the next valve. This tool is designed to do 1.800" thru 2.500" installed spring heights so you can pretty much cover all 426 Gen 2 type racing applications.

Micrometer reads in .0025" increments and tool is knurled for an easy grip during use. Tool body is made from stainless-steel so it will not stick to spring shims and pull during tool use. Stainless tool body has laser-etched micrometer scale and red anodized alum. body has machined numbers and grooves which contrast well making an easy read of number for the tool user.
